Many had said that she had possessed a divorcable face. It was incredible how prophetic the epithet had been in the end.

Good day to you all. Coming out of my authorial fug for a moment, a few words about what’s going on at the moment. I’m back from holiday (yes, lovely thank you) and the new house is more or less habitable. It does however lack a phone line, so I’ve been unable to post anything from there. I’d hoped to get some proper posts going from work, but with it being my most busy period I’ve not had the time to put anything substantial up from there either. Hence the ‘Parts’. I actually quite like them and will continue with them for a while yet. They may even form into some sort of story rather than a sequence of non-sequiters, though I haven’t the faintest idea whether that will be the case or not. Thank you all for your continued patience and support. I will always wear it. Cheers Spike.

Part Four

He kept his friends close and his enemies as far away as possible. He wasn’t stupid.

The beard served to only make him look foolish now. When it was in it’s infancy it had made him look like a gay cavalier. Now it had wilted to such an extent that the straggly shrub dangling from his face served only to hide the thin crack of his lips and stop soup dribbling onto his tie.

“You’re more fart than man now,” she’d said to him once.

“Hardly surprising my dear, the body is seventy percent air after all,” he had replied brashly.

“Isn’t that water?” she enquired, arching a slender eyebrow.

“Hmm,” he had pondered. “Maybe it is time for a drink after all.”

“No, of course I like you,” he said. “But I like pies too. I suppose you’re a slightly better conversationalist, but the point still stands.” She looked much like she had when she was alive.

An Actual Slight Return (for once)

Evenin’ all. Sorry for my complete lack of entries over the past couple of weeks, but it’s all been rather hectic with the moving and all, plus I was hoping to give away the maximum number of videos to the largest number of people so hoped that leaving the post below on for as long as possible would elicit more responses. Of course, it didn’t, but no matter – everything on the list now has a new home, as do I. Having moved in now, I will be going on holiday tomorrow, so am afraid that the site is probably going to lay fallow for another week or so unless they have easily accessible computers in Devon. And that’s never gonna happen is it? Normal service will resume as soon as I can work out what normal is again. Move along now.
